An evening symposium to celebrate the publication of the edited collection ‘Territorial Listening and Psychoanalysis in Critical Social Situations: Building Clinical Dispositifs’

What is Territorial Listening?
Its authors start from the premise that cities and streets, much like dreams, present us with manifest and latent contents expressed in unconscious ways. The psychoanalyst does not listen only to an individual utterance but to the territorial relations in which it is embedded. This is about listening everywhere in an embodied manner: in places where people queue for food, where police violence takes place, and in playgrounds.
This volume is a vital contribution to the free clinics tradition, showcasing the contemporary vibrancy of free psychoanalytic clinics and the possibility of renovating the psychoanalytic frame through play and invention.
