When researching a specific field of practice, or a situated phenomenon, we may wonder what is it that keeps this very field alive, lending it vitality as well as attunement to times, necessities and possibilities. Here I propose a psychosocial ethnography in which I knit together historical and contemporary threads that compose what we can hold on to as scenes of feminist desire in Argentinean psychoanalysis. These moments, demonstrated in the form of narrative field notes, are small but also bold acts of disobedience, of risk-taking, which through rupture germinate possibilities of collectivity and repair. In dialogue with Silvia Bleichmar, Anne Duffourmantelle, Ariella Azoulay and Veronica Gago, I mobilise their propositions of potential, gentleness and neogenesis to realise a feminist anthropological incursion into a counter-hegemonic history of the psychoanalytic milieu and its plural practices. My aim is to contribute to an elastic imagination of the potential of the psychoanalytic in times of poly-crises.
