This participatory workshop explores how artistic practice and material processes can open up new ways of thinking about the psychoanalytic clinic as a relational, social and political space.

Drawing on Ana Čvorović’s sculptural practice and research with the FREEPSY project, participants will work collectively with found materials to create temporary spatial arrangements exploring the relationships, supports, boundaries and exclusions that shape the clinical encounter.

Taking as its starting point a selection of the artist’s works exhibited at the Freud Museum, participants will collaboratively engage with questions such as: what enters the clinical space? What remains outside it? And how might sculpture, objects and spatial practice help us think through the social, political and material relations that shape psychic life?

Rather than beginning with the individual as the primary site of analysis, the workshop invites reflection on the wider conditions that shape the clinical encounter, offering a platform for collective experimentation and reflection.

Who is it for?

This workshop is open to clinicians, psychoanalytic trainees, researchers, artists, students and anyone interested in the intersections of psychoanalysis, contemporary art and collective forms of care. No previous artistic experience is required.
